Residential Carpet Collection is the ultimate example of an environmentally
friendly product. The majority of our residential carpets are made from 100%
post-consumer recycled food and drink containers (made
with top quality PET resins as required by the U.S. Food and Drug
Administration - lower off gassing -
VOC's) . By, purchasing one square
yard of GreenFloors carpeting you will be keeping approximately forty
plastic containers out of our landfills. The dyeing method is less polluting
and requires less energy to produce then other floor types. Of course all of
our carpets have been tested and meet EPA and Carpet & Rug Institutes Indoor
Air Quality Standards.

Polyester has fewer emissions than nylon because
it is made with fewer additives, and because it is inherently stain
resistent. Easier maintenance reduces the use of cleaners which also emit
VOCs. Because plastic beverage containers are made with top quality PET
resins as required by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, recycled PET is
superior to lower grades of virgin synthetic fibers used in making other
brands of polyester carpet yarns. |

|
Stain resistance is a
natural, permanent physical property of GreenFloors recycled PET (polyester)
fiber. Other carpets made of nylon require a chemical stain-resistance
treatment that becomes less effective through heavy traffic conditions and
repeated cleanings. With GreenFloors recycled carpets, stain resistance
cannot be worn out or washed out. In addition, this exclusive yarn system
resists a wider variety of stains than stain-treated nylons. |

GreenFloors recycled carpet fibers retain their color long after some nylon
constructions appear dingy or faded. The color is locked in during the
dyeing process for outstanding resistance to sun fading and harsh cleaning.
Shades can be richer and brighter than those
found in nylon yarns. Because plastic beverage containers are made with top
quality PET resins as required by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration,
recycled PET is superior to lower grades of virgin synthetic fibers used in
